Position Summary
The eCommerce SEO Specialist will help grow our SEO practice area and assist in providing all SEO-related services for clients and our company. They will be responsible for auditing and optimizing the visibility and search engine performance of our clients' online stores. Their primary focus is to develop and implement effective SEO strategies to increase organic traffic, improve rankings, and drive conversions. During website rebuilds, they will ensure that SEO rankings are preserved and not lost.
The SEO specialist will conduct comprehensive audits, including technical SEO assessments, keyword research, and on-page and off-page optimization. They will closely monitor performance metrics to continuously refine and enhance eCommerce SEO efforts.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key, ensuring that SEO initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives. Additionally, the specialist will stay updated on industry trends and best practices to keep our clients competitive in the digital landscape.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Ensure SEO rankings are not negatively impacted by a site redesign or catalog restructure.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve organic rankings and search traffic.
- Perform keyword research based on personas, semantics, micro-moments, competitors, and trends.
- Execute on-page optimization related to page titles, descriptions, canonicals, URLs, internal link structures, and SEO copy editing.
- Perform comprehensive eCommerce website SEO audits, including technical assessments, present findings and recommendations with all supporting data and graphs, and aid in SEO activities related to site migrations.
- Evaluate link profiles and identify creative link-building opportunities.
- Organize and participate in client presentations and deck development, delivering account performance reporting and providing insightful analysis/trends, recommendations, and opportunities to meet goals and KPIs.
- Proactively manage client and partners' accounts across multiple platforms and channels.
- Work with our sales and internal teams to promote and sell our service offerings to new and existing clients.
- Help build our SEO practice area through strategic planning, goal setting, execution, and promotional activities such as participating in sales discussions or informative webinars.
Required Experience
- Agency experience.
- 5+ years of SEO experience, including technical SEO.
- 3+ years of eCommerce SEO experience.
- Relevant degree and certifications.
- Demonstrate experience with technical knowledge, on-page SEO, local SEO, and link-building tactics.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and main SEO tools and dashboarding platforms (Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Data Studio, etc.).
- Familiarity with Magento and BigCommerce.
- Understanding of basic web development programs such as HTML/CSS.
- Experience researching, writing, publishing, and promoting blog content.
- Strong client relationship skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and clients effectively and efficiently by the established deadline.
- Good communication skills: written and oral, articulate the "reasoning" behind your recommendations to clients, communicate project status, and answer their questions.
- Comfort & ease with client calls & communication
- Must be flexible and able to work under pressure.
- Creatively find ways to integrate SEO requirements seamlessly into on-page content.
- Analytical and the ability to make informed decisions based on data.

- Experience working as part of a remote team.
- Enthusiastic about learning, mentoring, and researching.
- Familiarity with Atlassian software products (Jira, Confluence).
- Knowledge of SEO principles and ensuring websites will adhere to them.
- Knowledge of CRO best practices and ensuring websites adhere to them.
- Ability to work our core hours between 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM Eastern Time.
- Ability to follow project plans & tasks assigned to each client to deliver the promised service each month.
